Accounts Receivable Specialist

Charlie Gilmur with Robert Half is looking for a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Tigard, Oregon. In this role, you will play a key part in managing customer accounts, ensuring accurate billing, and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities:

- Perform reconciliations of accounts receivable, ensuring invoices are issued accurately and on time.

- Take ownership of client payment portals, managing updates and resolving issues as needed.

- Collaborate with operational teams to investigate and address billing discrepancies or errors.

- Work closely with regional controllers and accountants to resolve variances in general ledger accounts.

- Act as a liaison between field operations, accounting departments, and external financial vendors.

- Maintain detailed records and documentation to support financial audits and compliance.

- Assist in the development and improvement of accounts receivable processes.

- Handle additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support team objectives.

Requirements - Associate's degree in accounting or a related field preferred.

- At least five years of accounting experience, with a minimum of three years specializing in accounts receivable.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with all levels of an organization.

- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to a dynamic work environment.

- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and a collaborative approach.

- Prior experience with commercial collections and cash applications is highly desirable.
