Charlie Gilmur with Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team in Milwaukie, Oregon. This position will play a vital role in handling financial reporting, managing general ledger activities, and overseeing accounting operations for multiple entities. Responsibilities:

- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

- Reconcile general ledger accounts to maintain the integrity of financial records.

- Manage Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Fixed Asset processes efficiently.

- Oversee the preparation and submission of sales and property tax returns.

- Coordinate annual business license renewals across various states.

- Collaborate with operational teams to support financial strategies, including annual budgeting and monthly reporting.

- Utilize accounting software such as Quick Books to maintain accurate records and streamline processes.

- Perform journal entries and daily reconciliations for various accounts.

- Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial operations and reporting.

- Handle additional accounting duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

- Minimum of three years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced technical skills.

- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong financial acumen.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic setting.

- Experience with accounting software such as Quick Books and familiarity with payroll systems is a plus.

- Knowledge of reconciliation processes, including bank and credit card accounts.
