The Oregon Department of Justice’s Division of Child Support (DCS) is seeking to hire two (2) Child Support Case Managers (Entry) for our Oregon City office. Due to the nature of this role and training requirements this position will be required to work in person at the Oregon City Branch during the hours of 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with an hour scheduled for lunch. When trial service is complete and business needs allow, schedule flexibility including the possibility of a hybrid work schedule will be evaluated.
- Review individuals’ case documents and records to determine if a child support order is needed.
- Contact agency customers and other service providers to gather information to assist in establishing paternity and to establish and enforce support orders.
- Establish, modify, enforce, and provide accounting records for child support orders by deciding needed action.
- Apply federal and state laws, rules, and agency policies and procedures.
- Verify payments are properly disbursed.
- Verify accuracy of any state agency claims against child support.
- Request, review, and evaluate paternity declarations to initiate action. Complete and file legal documents to establish paternity. Process modification requests.
- Gather wage and health care information, research and apply child support guidelines to calculate support obligation.

- Three (3) years of experience working with the public in person or by phone giving information about services and programs and solving customer problems/complaints. Experience must include the use of personal computers, web-based applications, and typical software such as Microsoft Office.
