OverviewAre you a natural leader who dreams of running your own outpatient mental health practice—without the stress (or financial headache) of launching one from scratch on your own? Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit, energy, and a strong desire to shape a new clinic, filling it with therapists that share your values of integrity, ethics, authenticity, and a desire to make a positive difference in our community?
Then this is your chance to step into the top role at our new Ellie Mental Health clinic in Oregon City as Clinic Director.
At Ellie, we’re not your typical outpatient mental health practice. We’re part of a national movement to smash stigma, fill gaps in care, and make therapy more human, accessible, and—dare we say—fun.
Why You’ll Love Leading at Ellie- Competitive pay + performance bonuses that actually reward your leadership.
- Flexible schedule (because balance matters for leaders, too).
- PTO, holidays, and even your birthday off
—because you deserve to celebrate you. - Full benefits available within first 30 days: health, dental, vision, 401(k), life & disability and more
- CEU time + license renewal reimbursement (we invest in your growth).
- Gorgeous, furnished office space + telehealth options.
- A supportive, values-driven team that believes in authenticity, humor, creativity, and compassion—not burnout.
As Clinic Director, you’ll get to:
- Build your dream team → hire, train, and inspire a group of 12–16 amazing therapists.
- Shape the vibe → create a culture where staff feel supported, clients feel cared for, and the clinic thrives.
- Lead with heart & accountability → coach, mentor, and celebrate staff while holding high standards.
- Stay connected to client care → carry a small caseload to keep your skills sharp and your heart in the work.
- Grow the clinic → partner with local leaders, expand community outreach, and help the world know Ellie is here.
- Keep the ship sailing smoothly → oversee performance, budgets, and operations without losing sight of why we’re here: people.
- Master’s degree or higher in a mental health discipline.
- Independent Oregon license (LMFT, LCSW, LPC, etc.). Board-certified supervisor preferred.
- Strong leadership chops with a balance of business skills + people skills.
- A collaborator who thrives in a high-energy, evolving environment.
- Someone who’s organized but also embraces creativity and humor when problem-solving.
Mental health work is tough. Burnout is real. That’s why we’ve built a model that puts people first—our clients AND our employees. We believe happy clinicians = better care = healthier communities.
We’re a socially responsible for-profit. That means we can stay creative, nimble, and innovative while still prioritizing purpose over profit. Unlike traditional nonprofit models, we pay better, innovate faster, and create a culture where people actually want to come to work.
At Ellie, we live our values: humor, authenticity, compassion, acceptance, determination, and creativity. If those words light you up, you’ll feel right at home.
A Note to CandidatesNot sure you meet every single requirement? Please apply anyway! Research shows women and people of color often hesitate unless they check every box—but we know great leaders come in many forms. If you’re passionate about changing mental health care and think this role could be your jam, we want to hear from you.
In short:
This isn’t just a director role. It’s a chance to shape the future of mental health in Oregon City and our surrounding communities. Be bold. Be authentic. Be the leader who makes mental health care better—for your team, your clients, and your community.
