Description:
Per Diem/Day Shift performs cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician's orders, utilizing a variety of complex ultrasound equipment. Identifies the presence or absence of disease through knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Assists physicians with invasive echocardiography procedures including Transesophageal echocardiography, trans-catheter echo-guided procedures (location specific), pericardiocentesis, echo-guided myocardial biopsies (location specific), contrast-enhanced exams, exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiography. Modifies procedures to meet special circumstances and provide clinically useful information on a cost-effective basis.
Complies with standards set forth by the American Society of Echocardiography and departmental policies and procedures.

Echocardiograph Technologist at Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center in Oregon City, OR.
- Performs cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician orders using complex ultrasound equipment.
- Identifies presence or absence of disease based on anatomy and physiology knowledge.
- Assists physicians with invasive echocardiography examinations (e.g., Transesophageal echocardiography, trans-catheter echo-guided procedures, pericardiocentesis, echo-guided myocardial biopsies, contrast-enhanced exams, stress echocardiography).
- Modifies procedures to meet special circumstances and provide clinically useful information on a cost-effective basis.
- Adheres to standards set forth by the American Society of Echocardiography and departmental policies and procedures.

National Registered Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International OR - Upon hire:
National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International OR - Upon hire:
National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Upon hire:
National Provider BLS – American Heart Association
- Associate's Degree in Applied Science from a CAAHEP-accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- 1 year of experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations
- Minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities
- Pediatric echocardiography experience
- Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices)
- Experience with echo-guided trans-catheter procedures
