We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Manager of Clinical Operations for our Psychiatric Adolescent Unit in Oregon City, Oregon. This leader will manage the 24/7 clinical operations of the unit, driving excellence in patient care, caregiver engagement, and operational efficiency. This role is ideal for a nurse leader with experience in behavioral health who thrives in complex, multidisciplinary environments and values compassionate accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 24/7 leadership and operational management of the adolescent psychiatric nursing unit.
- Ensure high-quality, safe, and compassionate care is delivered in alignment with organizational standards and core values.
- Foster a healing and wellness-focused environment for both patients and staff.
- Lead, develop, and support a high-performing nursing team, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
- Build and sustain collaborative inter-professional relationships across departments.
- Maintain compliance with state regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies.
- Manage resources wisely, including staffing, budgets, and equipment to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Drive unit-based performance improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives.
- Participate in strategic planning and execution in alignment with health system goals.
- Bachelor s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Active Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license - Required upon hire
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association - Required upon hire
- Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience with progressive leadership responsibilities
- Strong understanding of behavioral health and adolescent psychiatric care
- Master s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- Formal coursework or training in healthcare management, finance, or operations
- National certification in psychiatric nursing or other relevant clinical specialty
- Previous management experience in a behavioral health or acute care setting
- Passionate about adolescent behavioral health and dedicated to trauma-informed care
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and retain high-performing nursing teams
- Excellent clinical judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Adept at conflict resolution, team development, and interdepartmental collaboration
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic clinical environment with complex care needs
- Committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning
