Overview

MUSC Health - Orangeburg is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join a growing practice in Orangeburg, SC. The provider will work in collaboration with a dedicated Anesthesia Care Team comprised of experienced CRNAs and board-certified anesthesiologists.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a broad mix of anesthesia services in Orangeburg, SC, including general anesthesia, neuraxial anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and monitored anesthesia care for surgical candidates across pediatric to geriatric populations.
  • Cover a variety of procedures and surgical specialties, including General, Robotic Assisted Surgery, Major Vascular, OB/Gyn, Orthopedic, Urology, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, and Endoscopy.
  • Collaborate with the Anesthesia Care Team to deliver safe and effective patient care; participate in pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases as assigned.
Qualifications / Minimum Training and Education
  • Graduate of an approved anesthesia education program, certified or recertified by the National Board on Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists; insurable by MUSC for required limits.
  • Minimum education:

    Master’s degree (or higher) with a concentration in Nurse Anesthesia for hires after March 1, 2019.
Licensure, Certifications, Registrations
  • Must be recognized as an APRN or be eligible, with current license to practice, or eligibility to obtain practice in South Carolina.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an AHA BLS course is required.
  • Certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Schedule

8-hour shifts (7a–3p) plus 2 weekday call shifts and 1 weekend call shift per month. Opportunity to expand shifts as staffing improves. Fair Labor Standards Act Status:
Salaried.
