Education: Must have met the educational requirements for and passed a recognized Certification Examination for Medical Technologist (also known as Medical Laboratory Scientist, MLS or Clinical Laboratory Scientist, CLS). Examples of Certification Examinations are ASCP, AMT, NCA, AAB. Maintenance of certification is not required.
