Job Description Summary
MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is an entity within the Medical University of South Carolina that provides healthcare to patients within the rural health network throughout the state of South Carolina.
Provide administrative coverage at the front desk of the Clinic including monitoring the clinic appointment line, scheduling appointments for clients from outside medical, hospital, correction systems, answering multiline telephones, taking payments from clients for clinical services, completing client registration and documentation, scheduling interpreters for clients, and retrieving billing charges.

Job DescriptionTo provide constant and efficient operations of the physician medical office. Duties include scheduling, patient registration, telephone triage, medical records, billing, and collections. The position also involves coordinating daily clinic preparation, patient identification, patient check‑in/out, charge posting, cash management, patient appointment scheduling, customer service, message distribution, ancillary scheduling, preparation, and referrals management.
Minimum Education And ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalency plus one year of patient care experience in a health care facility; or a Certified Nursing Assistant; or successful completion of a Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant course at an accredited institution or equivalent training; or EMT or Paramedic certification; or a Bachelor’s degree.
