Overview

Job Description Summary Position is responsible for assisting the Director with daily quality operations of the Breast Health department. This position will interface with the breast health team and assist with the coordination of all aspects of diagnostic imaging, clinical evaluation, support services and education for women receiving services at the breast center. This position provides clinical functions as required in support of breast center services and participates in maintaining a safe, cost-effective environment that supports the mission, vision, and values of MUSC.

Job Description

Serves as a case manager, educator, and support for Mammography patient population.

Ensures that quality services are provided and manages the daily operations for the provision of patient care within a specified area. Assures that areas of responsibility adhere to relevant safety, regulatory, certification and/or accreditation standards.

• Ensure that areas of responsibility adhere to relevant safety, regulatory, certification and/or accreditation standards.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience:
  
  2 years of independent mammography experience.
• Credentials:
  Current ARRT registration in x-ray and mammography; current State of South Carolina licensure; current Basic Life Support (BLS) required (AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or equivalent) or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
• Other:
  Ability to perform job functions with various physical demands and conditions as detailed in the original description, including ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted, work rotating shifts, and maintain visual and auditory capabilities as required.

Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, and working indoors/outdoors in temperature extremes. Ability to work in elevated, confined, or cramped spaces; perform repetitive motions; and handle objects requiring manual dexterity. Visual and hearing capabilities required; ability to work in a latex-safe environment.
