Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized academic, career, transfer, and personal counseling to a caseload of TRIO SSS participants to support persistence, academic progress, and completion.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Academic Plans (IAPs) and student success plans sessions to identify barriers and appropriate interventions.
  • Provide early alert outreach and proactive interventions for at-risk students.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of student contacts, services, and outcomes in Blumen and other reporting systems.
  • Track student progress, academic performance, and program participation to ensure compliance with federal TRIO guidelines and grant objectives.
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate workshops, seminars, and student activities focused on academic skills, financial literacy, career readiness, transfer preparation, life skills, and personal development.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports and documentation to support data-driven decision-making and program evaluation.
  • Collaborate with faculty and campus partners to coordinate support services.
  • Support educational, cultural, and career exploration events, campus visits, and student engagement activities.
  • Perform other program functions and duties as assigned.

This position will require some evening and weekend work at periodic times.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, social work, human services, or related field or Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience working with first-generation, low-income, or underrepresented student populations.
  • Knowledge of academic advising, case management, and student success strategies.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed documentation.
