Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs.
- Install instrumentation such as temperature, pressure, level, and flow gauges.
- Thread, bend, cut and install tubing and piping systems as per specifications, templates and drawings, including heat traced tubing bundle.
- Leak test instrumentation tubing to ensure proper functionality and safety.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all site safety regulations and procedures.
- Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, and adjust as needed due to weather, supply, delivery and personnel.
- Delegate tasks to crew members and enforce project work rules, policies and procedures.
- Record and communicate best practices and work efficiencies.
- Perform quality work in accordance with QA/QC standards, procedures and specifications.
- Examine craft drawings and specifications and ensure current information is communicated to the crew.
- Progress and complete work packages; conduct walkdowns to verify completion.
- Inspect scaffolding and ensure debris is removed from platforms at end of day.
- Conduct daily safety meetings addressing specific work areas and changes in conditions.»
- Completed a recognized industrial mechanical course, technical diploma or equivalent education and work experience.
- Prior experience in industrial mechanical equipment maintenance or installation is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and also independently.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality assurance.
- Minimum of 48+ verified work experience within the craft.
- Must be able to pass DISA Background, Follicle, UA and BAT checks.
- Effective use of verbal and written communication; practice good people skills.
- Work safely and promote safety to others.
- Coordinate daily tasks and supervise the crew to meet project priorities.
- Adhere to and enforce project work rules, policies and procedures.
- Inspect workmanship quality and ensure installations meet specifications.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and coordinate with field engineers and inspectors to resolve issues.
- Coordinate work activities with other craft supervision to maximize productivity and avoid conflicts.
- Remain engaged in health, safety, quality, and environmental processes.
- Immediately report any safety incident, including near misses, to the supervisor.
- Represent PCL professionally in interactions with project and client personnel, coworkers, other contractors, and subcontractors.
