Marine Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Marine Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our marine vessels, ensuring they are in top condition for safe and efficient operations. You will also serve as the primary point of contact between our team and the Ship Management Team (SMT), working closely with them to implement our quality assurance plan.

• Overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our marine vessels, including scheduling and coordinating repairs and maintenance activities
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
• Collaborating with the SMT to develop and implement a quality assurance plan for our preventative maintenance team
• Providing guidance and support to junior team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of maintenance materials and services

• At least 5 years of experience as a First Assistant Engineer or Chief Mate sailing under a recognized Flag State or equivalent US Navy experience
• Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising and mentoring junior team members
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities, with the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders
• Strong understanding of preventative maintenance principles and quality assurance procedures
• Ability to travel as required
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., marine engineering, nautical science) preferred
