Chevron Phillips Chemical (CPChem) is seeking an Industrial Hygienist to join the Environmental, Health, Safety, & Security (EHS&S) team for the Golden Triangle Polymers (GTP) facility located in Orange, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your experience and be part of a team contributing to the design, startup, and operation of a new plant from the ground up.

The Industrial Hygienist is responsible for managing the industrial hygiene elements of the Plant Health and Hygiene Program, with emphasis on the anticipation, recognition, identification, evaluation, and control of occupational health hazards, as well as ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. In addition, the Industrial Hygienist is expected to contribute to the overall safety function by applying occupational safety knowledge, collaborating within a team environment, and providing support on OSHA interpretation and site‑specific application as needed and assigned.

• Develop tools, workflows, and systems to compile compliance records
• Maintain and improve monitoring, record‑keeping, and reporting for industrial hygiene compliance
• Collaborate with management to resolve occupational health issues
• Support occupational health programs and policies; includes managing both office and field ergonomics and establishing specialized PPE recommendations
• Execute biological, physical, and chemical monitoring programs
• Train on occupational health and safety training programs; including industrial hygiene instrumentation and local procedures
• Maintain current knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
• Establish Similar Exposure Groups for monitoring; assess employee exposure to health risks
• Support Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) and Laser Safety Officer (LSO) and perform field and record‑keeping tasks
• Support regulatory reporting (e.g., TIER II, TSCA regulations)
• Manage industrial hygiene instrumentation and calibration
• Provide guidance to less experienced team members

• 3 – 5 years of industrial hygiene experience

• CIH (certified industrial hygienist)
• Experience with Cority® safety, medical, and IH modules
• Experience with emergency response situations
