Part Time Delivery Driver

Summary:

The Primary responsibility of the Driver is to provide exceptional service to our customers by delivering products to our customers' locations, offices or job sites. This position requires a person with a valid Driver's License, a clean and insurable driving record and the ability to drive a commercial van and a 14 cubic foot box truck. This person must be willing to work all scheduled hours in the afternoon (between 12PM to 5PM, Monday - Friday).

If approved, the position can be changed to full time employment.

• Lift, load, unload and move products weighing up to 75 pounds
• Always present a professional and neat work appearance
• Drive a Company delivery vehicle, Commercial Van and a 14 cubic foot box truck to destination
• Load and unload delivery vehicle and, when available, any other vendor or third party supplier or trucking company vehicle.
• Verifies load against shipping papers.
• If needed collects payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges.
• Maintains truck log
• Ensure proof of delivery and truck log is brought to office daily
• Responsible for proper handling of product to minimize damage to products.
• Responsible for maintaining positive customer relations and involving management to resolve customer issues.
• Maintain contact with supervisor to receive delivery and any other instructions.
• Maintain an excellent attendance record and be punctual for work daily
• Adhere to the work schedule and be available for overtime and weekend hours as may be required from time to time.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures outlined in the retail employee handbook.

• Maintain a current Driver's License that is valid, active and free from violations and suspensions
• Maintain a clean and insurable driving record
• Demonstrated skills in customer service and selling skills.
• Be able to lift, load, unload and move products weighing 50-75 lbs.
• High School Diploma or equivalent or relevant work experience
• Good time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Forklift experience or Certification a plus
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) a plus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
