Position Summary
Medical Assistant position supporting physicians in vein, fibroid, vascular, and oncology centers. Balance patient needs with office workflow and assist the physician before, during, and after procedures while ensuring an excellent patient service experience.
Pay and BenefitsBase pay range: $43,000.00/yr - $50,000.00/yr. Compensation and additional benefits are determined by experience and qualifications. Full-time, Monday - Friday - Language preference:
English / Spanish
- Greet patients and escort them to examination rooms; assist with completion of forms as necessary
- Familiarize with clinic hardware/software and use according to policy
- Answer multi-line and multi-language telephone lines
- Schedule appointments and accommodate patient needs (e.g., transportation, rescheduling)
- Perform clerical tasks as needed (copying, filing, faxing, etc.)
- Maintain procedure rooms to be neat and ready for use
- Assist doctors during Endovenous Laser Therapy procedures per instructions
- Prepare patients before procedures and clean up after
- Provide post-procedure instructions and information on medication pickup if needed
- Prepare IV solutions
- Apply sterile techniques and OSHA regulations
- Train new staff and assist ultrasound staff as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervising physician or clinic management
- Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA a plus)
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills
- Fluency in English and Spanish preferred
- Full-time availability Monday - Friday; able to commute to both Orange and Passaic clinics
