Job SummaryThe Lead Analyst – SAP Support role, under limited supervision, coordinates and provides timely, high quality Information Technology (IT) application solutions that satisfy business and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for leading application software analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance, project management, and system integration. The position also provides consultation and advice to internal business areas.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinates the development, maintenance, integration, and enhancement of software applications within project deadlines, including scope definition, requirement definition, research, business area analysis, data and process modeling, specification preparations, estimating, coding, and testing.
- Helps coordinate day‑to‑day tasks involved in monitoring, exception reporting, and resolution of problems in the production operation, communicating with internal business areas, external service providers, and other IT areas.
- Develops and recommends innovative business solutions and alternatives for complex problems, resulting in efficient and economical business processes.
- Interfaces with business areas to help manage expectations, facilitate resolution of issues, and prioritize work.
- Supports proposal preparation, resource management, project plan/schedule development and maintenance, risk assessment, change management, and issue management.
- Leads, mentors, and coaches lower‑level application staff. Performs day‑to‑day supervision in the absence of a project/group manager and may train less‑skilled analysts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Project management and leadership experience.
- Working knowledge of desktop applications (Microsoft Office), Mainframe and/or client‑server technical experience.
- Knowledge of relational databases and structured query tools.
- Experience with Mainframe & Distributed Report Generation Tools, Visual Basic, and Pardox.
