Overview
Legend Biotech is seeking Cell Therapy Account Specialist as part of the Sales team based in Southern California (Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, etc).
Role:
Represent Legend’s products and services to a defined customer base, generate and grow sales, and consistently achieve or exceed sales targets within a specific geographic area.
- Work in partnership to drive Carvykti as the preferred CAR-T therapy for multiple myeloma among both community and institution-based oncology customers. Coordinate activities for impactful engagement within the territory in collaboration with other Carvykti representatives.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Legend and competitor products in the therapeutic area and the complexities of the disease state.
- Navigate a complex account environment, understand stakeholder needs at all levels, and triage to appropriate internal stakeholders for support.
- Develop an understanding of issues and opportunities unique to each geography.
- Provide insights to the cross-functional team on feedback from healthcare professionals (HCPs), including account business trends and changes in the therapeutic landscape.
- Use intel and insights to develop and implement an account business plan to meet customer needs and corporate goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams on cross-functional projects and may work with outside partners to co-promote products or services.
- Assist in identifying/resolving issues and opportunities, and manage a territory budget for customer engagements, speaker events, and other external expenditures.
- Represent Legend at national and/or local symposiums/conventions.
- Demonstrate initiative, urgency, and a collaborative, compliant approach in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform administrative functions including reporting call activity and customer information in the call reporting system, and submitting expenses in a timely manner.
- Report adverse events to Legend’s Drug Safety department and other internal departments as required.
- Promote the appropriate use of Legend’s products to healthcare professionals in accordance with Corporate, PhRMA, and OIG guidelines.
- Maintain strict compliance with all regulatory agencies, state, and federal law; adhere to company policies and business ethics.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Preferred minimum of 3 years Oncology or specialty healthcare sales experience.
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales objectives, preferably in specialty markets.
- Experience managing large community accounts including strategic planning and problem solving.
- Previous sales experience in cell therapy/bone marrow transplant and experience with Multiple Myeloma.
- Product launch experience in a highly competitive environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication (written and presentation) skills; superior selling skills in competitive markets; ability to build relationships and influence.
- Aptitude for rapid learning and retention of technical and scientific product information.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and demonstrate teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to read situations quickly, anticipate problems, and adapt accordingly.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 50-60% of the time.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to perform administrative responsibilities accurately and on time.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
