RN - Childbirth Educator - Per Diem

Description RN Childbirth Educator for our Maternal Services program at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, CA. This position is Per-Diem and will work variable shifts based on education needs of our patients. Under the direction of the Manager of Outpatient Perinatal Services, the Childbirth Educator provides information to expectant parents and their families regarding the labor and delivery process, and role adjustments in the family after birth, including other children and grandparents.

Other educational classes taught by the RN Perinatal Educator include topics on safety, healthy environment with a focus on prevention measures. Required qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. California Registered Nurse License upon hire. National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. Certified Childbirth Educator upon hire. Windows and PowerPoint experience. 1 year Clinical obstetrics experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.

These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
