PPOSBC is looking for a Clinician to join the Orange Health Center team, providing non-judgmental, empathetic and high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include exams, treatment, education and counseling for patients in accordance with agency protocols.

Qualifications

Licensure and/or Certification:

  • Current California clinician’s license.
  • Furnishing license, as applicable to NP
  • Board Certification preferred.
  • CPR certification required.
  • ACLS required for surgical sites.
Minimum Work Experience
  • Nurse Practitioner, Physician’s Assistant or Certified Nurse Midwife with reproductive/primary care specialty.
  • Preferred women’s, managed/primary health care experience.
Other Requirements
  • Valid CA driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance as per California Vehicle Code.
  • Bilingual skills may be required; if required, candidate will be tested for proficiency prior to offer.
Responsibilities
  • Adhere to agency policies, procedures and protocols for exams, procedures, documentation, and patient communication. May include state/region certifications.
  • Maintain professionalism and timely wait times; address patient complaints per policy.
  • Contribute to productivity goals and revenue cycle objectives.
  • Provide clinical services per PPOSBC Medical Standards and Guidelines, Standardized Procedures and Policies, and affiliate guidelines, including abortion services where applicable. Meet quality metrics and goals.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, quality monitoring and root-cause analysis of quality problems.
  • Document patient data accurately in the medical record; evaluate and treat medical problems with appropriate follow-up and referrals.
  • Supervise follow-up procedures for abnormal lab results; dispense medications under standing orders.
  • Deliver care in a professional, confidential and timely manner; participate in team-based patient care; meet patient satisfaction benchmarks.
  • Manage emergencies and consult with physicians as needed; orient new clinicians as requested; participate in peer review and attend medical meetings as required.
  • Meet center productivity goals; complete incident reports when necessary; take after-hours call; assist with training, sign-off on venipuncture or triage; supervise Medical Assistants as needed.
  • Assist with ordering, packaging and labeling of drugs; assist with cleaning and maintenance of equipment; perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Medical Director; demonstrate teamwork and be deployable to other sites as needed.
