Registered Nurse (RN) – Main OR Charge Nurse – Full Time, Nights (12hrs)

Join CHOC Children’s as a Main OR Charge Nurse. This full‑time role works 12‑hour night shifts in Orange, California.

The Clinical Nurse IV AC plans and delivers family‑centered patient care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation). The RN directs and coordinates nursing care based on established standards, collaborates with patients, families, and other disciplines, and promotes effective, efficient care to achieve desired outcomes.

• Minimum $62.81 / hour
• Midpoint $81.64 / hour
• Maximum $100.46 / hour

• Required:
  
  Minimum one (1) year of acute care and/or surgical center nursing experience.
• Preferred:
  Six (6) months in a pediatric setting.

• Required:
  
  Graduation from an accredited school of Registered Nursing;
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required for all offers made after November 1, 2015.

• Required:
  
  ACLS, BLS, PALS, Registered Nurse – CA (RN).
• Preferred:
  Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN).

Functional demand:
Light to moderate energy level. Typical tasks include lifting 25‑35 lbs, pushing/pulling 50‑100 lbs, and operating in patient care settings.

Physical activity lifting categories: floor‑to‑waist (constant, frequent, occasional) and waist‑to‑above (constant, frequent, occasional).

Sensory requirements:
Color discrimination, depth perception, far vision, hearing, near vision.

Environment requirements:
Airborne communicable disease control, blood borne pathogen precautions, chemical, dust, extreme noise, temperature extremes, radiation, uneven surfaces.
