Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab RN with at least 2 years of lab experience and a current CA RN license for a hospital assignment with on-call requirements.

• Work in a hospital-based Cath Lab with potential to float to other units within the state as needed
• Day shifts are 4x10 hours, scheduled Monday through Friday with on-call rotation
• On-call required: 7 days per month, including one weekend per month (Friday-Sunday PM) and one day per week
• Accepts both Cath Lab RNs and IR RNs with neuro and vascular experience
• Epic EMR is required for IR RN roles and preferred for Cath Lab RN roles
• Royal blue scrubs required for RNs
• Assignment is 13 weeks in length
• Facility has 426 staffed beds and holds Magnet status
• Duties include providing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and related procedures
• Free parking is available onsite
• All holiday time-off requests will be considered as preferences
• Scheduling requests due to outside employment are not accommodated
• Travel pairs are not accepted for this assignment
• All travelers may be required to float between facilities in the state
• Minimal to no requested time off (RTO); extensive RTO requests may affect consideration
• COVID and flu vaccination documentation may be required
• Block scheduling considered at manager's discretion

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of lab experience in a facility with at least 250 beds
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, CCI
• Epic EMR experience required for IR RNs and preferred for Cath Lab RNs
• Scrub skills preferred but not required
• First-time travelers accepted with required experience
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as travelers and must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• References:
  Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years in a similar setting
