UCI Health is part of the University of California, Irvine. The Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Care is seeking a Nurse Practitioner II to provide advanced clinical care in the CVICU and Anesthesia Critical Care Services.

The Nurse Practitioner will:

• Participate in the comprehensive care of patients in ambulatory or inpatient settings, including multi-disciplinary care coordination, treatment, education, monitoring, and communication with patients and referring physicians.
• Perform functions within their scope of practice, including management of chronic stable medical conditions, routine care, acute or critical care, and medical and surgical procedures as approved.
• Maintain credentialing and privileges prior to first working day and adhere to all clinical standards of care.

• Current, active, unrestricted California Registered Nurse license.
• Current, active, unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner license.
• Current, active, unrestricted California Endorsement (Furnishing) license and DEA registration.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI). NP National Board Certification (AGACNP‑BC or ACNPC‑AG). Current ACLS Certification.
• Ability to obtain UCIMC Allied Health Professional Privileges prior to hire.
• Strong interpersonal skills, customer service, written and verbal communication, and ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other health personnel.

• Bilingual in Spanish and/or Vietnamese.
• Six months of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a CVICU unit.
