Job Overview

Join as a Nursing Assistant at Providence – St. Joseph Hospital of Orange. The role involves providing routine direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, following unit policies and procedures, reporting pertinent information, and responding promptly to patient care needs.

• Provide hands‑on direct patient care and support the care plan for patients in the unit.
• Monitor and document patients’ conditions, vital signs, and changes in health status.
• Assist with activities of daily living, positioning, and hygiene.
• Communicate observations and concerns to the RN and other healthcare team members.
• Assist with patient movement, transfers, and mobility safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and infection control compliant environment.

• Upon hire:
  National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in acute care, psychiatric care, or completion of the first semester of a Registered Nurse academic program, or equivalent education as a nursing assistant.

• Minimum 9 months of experience in a nursing or clinical setting.

Compensation is based on experience within the $24.00–$29.57 hourly range, with possible shift differentials, standby/on‑call pay, overtime, and bonus opportunities.
