CNC MILL & LATHE PROGRAMMER

Department: MACHINE SHOP

Reports To:

MACHINE SHOP MANAGER

FLSA Status: FULL TIME HOURLY

Position Summary

An experienced CNC Lathe Programmer should process with excellent attention to detail and will be responsible to follow out Programming jobs in accordance with customer and Company procedures and requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create CNC Lathe Programming and setup sheets using Mastercam;
    Mill experience also desired
  • Complex GD&T measurement using calipers, height gauge, bore gauges, etc.
  • Advanced shop math
  • Advanced Blueprint reading
  • Experience with Live tooling
  • Cam 2020 plus experience desired

Qualifications

Education/

Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related job experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:
Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees.

Mathematical Ability:
Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:
Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
