Overview
We’re looking for an admitted attorney for a Criminal Defense Attorney position within a premier law firm with room for growth. This is an opportunity for a dedicated attorney to gain experience and advance their career. The Attorney will manage their caseload and client interactions, and collaborate with the Criminal Defense Team of attorneys and legal assistants.
Responsibilities- Advise clients on their legal rights and draft legal documents related to their case
- Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and advise clients on strategies after each hearing
- Manage court appearances, trials, draft motions, interview witnesses, and perform legal research
- Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents
- Manage workload of cases
- Provide legal analysis to determine potential case benefits for clients
- Gather additional evidence to support the client’s case or arguments against the prosecution’s charges
- Prepare clients for depositions and gather information from witnesses and experts to support the client’s positions
- Experience handling criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels
- A team player who is open to helping, strategizing, and working with fellow associates
- Interpersonal skills of a high caliber
