Litigation Attorney – Medical Malpractice

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney with a strong background in medical malpractice defense to manage cases from inception through trial and arbitration
. This role requires deep knowledge of medicine, law, and complex liability issues
, along with the ability to develop and execute effective litigation strategies.

The attorney will work closely with trial/lead attorneys and Claims Specialists
, ensuring cost-effective case management, timely reporting, and compliance with defense guidelines.

• Manage all aspects of medical malpractice litigation
  , including case strategy and trial preparation
• Partner with trial attorneys to formulate discovery and investigation strategies
• Obtain concurrence with Claims Specialists on defense preparation
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests
• Attend court appearances
  , depositions, trials, and arbitrations
• Prepare cases for trial and arbitration
  , including exhibits and witness coordination
• Represent physicians in “depo-only” cases
• Respond to Claims Department hotline inquiriesb>
• Assist lead attorneys with claims reports at all litigation stages
• Ensure compliance with Defense Attorney Guidelines
• Share knowledge and best practices with the broader legal team

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
• 3+ years of experience in medical malpractice litigation
• Active license to practice law in California
