Criminal Defense Attorney

Overview

We’re looking for an admitted attorney for a Criminal Defense Attorney position within a premier law firm with room for growth. This is an opportunity for a dedicated attorney to gain experience and advance their career. The Attorney will manage their caseload and client interactions, and collaborate with the Criminal Defense Team of attorneys and legal assistants.

• Advise clients on their legal rights and draft legal documents related to their case
• Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and advise clients on strategies after each hearing
• Manage court appearances, trials, draft motions, interview witnesses, and perform legal research
• Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents
• Manage workload of cases
• Provide legal analysis to determine potential case benefits for clients
• Gather additional evidence to support the client’s case or arguments against the prosecution’s charges
• Prepare clients for depositions and gather information from witnesses and experts to support the client’s positions

• Experience handling criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels
• A team player who is open to helping, strategizing, and working with fellow associates
• Interpersonal skills of a high caliber
