Job SummaryThe Manager, Hospital Admitting oversees and manages the operations of the admitting registration team and is responsible for planning the daily operations for all pre-admission and admitting activities including coordinating admission(s) with other departments by collecting and distributing the appropriate information, with the responsibility of identifying information needed from the referring hospital to finalize the admission.
Pay RangeMinimum $78,229;
Midpoint $103,667;
Maximum $129,085
Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience- Required:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience utilizing on-line eligibility and verification tools, authorization requirements, notification of admission, upfront collections, and customer service. - Required:
Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a hospital admitting/registration department. This includes pre-registration/registration, with Business Office experience. - Preferred:
Children’s hospital experience and Emergency Department admitting experience.

Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, CCS and commercial insurance procedures required. Knowledge of governmental regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions such as Cerner Millennium (preferred), Epic or other electronic health records platform. Able to read; write and speak with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position, e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access;
operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. - Preferred:
