Overview

Clinical Program Assistant at Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange in Orange, CA. This position is Full-time and will work 8-hour, Day shifts.

Under the direction and supervision of the Division Supervisor/Manager, the Clinical Program Assistant provides support to the Clinical Laboratory & Pathology Operation. The assistant performs receptionist, secretarial, courier, filing, and coordination of inter/intra department duties. Activities may include developing and maintaining spreadsheets, responding promptly to calls, responding to inquiries for pathology or laboratory reports, ordering tests/labeling specimens as required, filing/scanning, performing billing activities, and couriering specimens as needed.

• Provide reception, secretarial, courier, and filing support to the Clinical Laboratory & Pathology Operations under supervision.
• Develop and maintain spreadsheets; respond promptly to calls and inquiries for pathology or laboratory reports.
• Order tests and label specimens as required; file/scan documents; perform billing activities; courier specimens as needed.

• Coursework/Training and post-high school education.
• 1 year of clerical experience in a health-related field (for 7540 SJO CLINICAL LAB - ).

Posted wage range is $24.00 - $35.77 per hour. The successful candidate’s placement within the range will be based on relevant experience and other factors. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
