Location: Orange and Irvine, CA (requires floating)

Position SummaryThe Central Sterile Tech is responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of supplies and equipment distributed throughout the hospital and affiliated clinics. The role participates in special projects and departmental performance improvement initiatives as requested.
Responsibilities- Decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain sterilization equipment, perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with infectious control techniques and medical terminology standards.
- Support variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Float between Orange and Irvine locations as required.
- Contribute to departmental and center‑wide improvement projects.
- Accredited education in Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology, or 18 months of relevant sterile processing experience.
- Knowledge of infectious control techniques and medical terminology.
- Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be willing to float between Orange and Irvine locations.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
