Functions as specialist, providing purchasing and inventory management support to a specific area of hospital inventory supply/equipment. Duties include supply chain operations and logistics functions to include receiving, distribution, picking, put-away, product delivery and par/point of use replenishment and stocking as well as input of patient charges as directed. This position also is responsible for working with departmental end users/customers, ensuring an effective and streamlined supply chain experience.
WhatIt Takes to be Successful
- Must have 1 year of previous job-related experience managing a multiple product inventory (SKU) and stock procurement system
- Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and a rotating schedule to meet operational needs
- Must be able to perform heavy manual tasks
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Knowledge of hospital MMIS system
- Knowledge of UCI policies and procedures
- Inventory management experience in a hospital, clinic or similar environment
