The MRI Manager collaborates with medical leadership to develop and implement programs and systems that ensure consistent, high‑quality patient evaluation and treatment. The Manager maintains current knowledge of technical and clinical requirements, develops and enforces standards of practice, and applies service standards across all MRI locations. They lead a continuous quality improvement program aligned with Joint Commission, ACR, and institutional guidelines, monitor patient satisfaction, and provide monthly reports to leadership on quality, financial, and operational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead fiscal, human‑resource, and quality outcomes for MRI services across Orange, Irvine, and community ambulatory sites.
- Communicate and enforce MRI safety standards, train and educate technologists, and chair the MRI safety committee.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and protocols, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission, ACR, CDPH, and other regulatory standards.
- Analyze operational data, manage budgets, and report income, expenses, and variances.
- Coordinate projects, implement programs, and improve processes, databases, and technology.
- Build and maintain relationships across the health system, providing leadership, conflict resolution, and change management.
- Strong analytical skills for data collection and analysis.
- 5–8 years of experience as an MRI technologist or supervisory role in adult acute care.
- Knowledge of EMR/health records and in‑depth MRI and MRI safety expertise.
- Graduate from an AMA Radiologic Tech program.
- Experience establishing effective MRI policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to persuade, advise, counsel.
- Budgetary experience: establishment, maintenance, and reporting of financial information.
- Subject‑matter knowledge of MRI and regulatory standards.
- Leadership and project coordination experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and management experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Conflict‑resolution skills and ability to build cooperative relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and make sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
- Proficiency in applying sound judgment and managing change.
- Prior successful management at a large, multi‑hospital organization or academic medical center.
- MRSO and advanced administrative degree (M.S., M.H.A., M.P.H., M.B.A.).
- ARRT–MRI, ARMRIT certification.
