Pay Rate: $54-$58/hr.
Duration: 13 weeks

• Minimum of 3 years of experience
• Active LCSW license
• Emergency Department experience
• EPIC experience
• Trauma Level 1 experience

The Social Services / LCSW will assess patients presenting to the Emergency Department for psychosocial, emotional, and environmental needs. The role involves crisis stabilization, mental health evaluations, discharge planning, and coordination with internal and external resources. The LCSW will document all interventions in EPIC and work closely with physicians, nurses, case management, and trauma teams to ensure safe and appropriate patient care.

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for Emergency Department patients.
• Provide crisis intervention, suicide risk assessments, and emotional support to patients and families.
• Support Trauma Level 1 activations by assisting patients and families during acute events.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Develop and coordinate discharge plans, including referrals to community resources and follow-up care.
• Facilitate involuntary holds, mandated reporting, and coordination with law enforcement when required.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and care plans accurately in EPIC.
• Advocate for patients’ psychosocial needs while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Participate in weekend and rotating shifts as scheduled.
