Controller North Orange County, CA | On-site $150,000–$160,000 base + bonus (details to follow) We are engaged with a well-established manufacturing company in North Orange County to identify a Controller to lead accounting and financial operations.

This is a succession hire following the planned retirement of a long-tenured Controller, working closely with a CFO who has been with the organization for decades.

This role is ideal for a manufacturing Controller who values stability, strong fundamentals, and long-term leadership impact.

Position Overview The Controller will oversee all accounting and financial operations for a multi-facility manufacturing environment.

The role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and effective manufacturing cost accounting while partnering closely with operations and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Compliance Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close in accordance with GAAPEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements

Manage external audits and maintain strong internal controls Manufacturing Cost Accounting Oversee standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and WIPPartner with operations to analyze costs and drive profitability Budgeting & Forecasting Support annual budgeting and forecasting

Analyze variances and provide actionable insights to leadership Inventory & Systems Oversee inventory accounting, cycle counts, and physical inventories

Support ERP systems and continuous improvement initiatives Leadership Lead and develop the accounting team (3–5 direct reports)
Collaborate with plant leadership, supply chain, and executive teams Qualifications Required CPA required

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Manufacturing accounting experience

Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and cost accounting Preferred ERP experience (Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
Prior people leadership experience Compensation Base salary: $150,000–$160,000
