Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly sales & use tax and excise tax returns
- Analyze and reconcile tax accounts on a monthly and annual basis
- Maintain tax registrations, certifications, and licenses across jurisdictions
- Perform internal audits and ensure documentation of exemption certificates and permits
- Coordinate with external auditors and internal teams to manage tax audits and compliance
- Review contracts and confirmations to assess direct and indirect tax implications
- Analyze tax issues, prepare write-ups, and ensure timely compliance
- Draft letters to tax jurisdictions to request guidance or resolve issues
- Monitor tax law changes and communicate updates to relevant teams
- Support accounting operations including month-end close, GL reconciliation, and audit preparation
- Hold a degree in Accounting and have at least 5+ years of sales and use tax experience
- 3+ years of financial accounting experience and general accounting knowledge
- Show intermediate proficiency in Excel and strong attention to detail
- Preferably hold a CPA license or be working toward certification
- Exhibit the ability to travel occasionally and manage special ad-hoc projects as needed
