Seal Design Engineer

Microflex Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Seal Design Engineer to play a key role in the design and development of sealing solutions that support customer applications across multiple industries. This position is responsible for translating technical requirements into engineered designs while collaborating closely with engineering, operations, and commercial teams.

This role requires strong mechanical design capabilities, proficiency in CAD tools, and the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver high-quality solutions that meet both performance and manufacturability requirements.

• Design and develop sealing solutions using CAD tools such as Solid Works or similar design software
• Translate customer application requirements into engineered product designs and technical solutions
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, models, and product documentation
• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams to support product development and customer applications
• Support prototype development, testing, and product validation activities
• Participate in technical discussions with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on design requirements
• Analyze application conditions including pressure, temperature, chemical compatibility, and wear characteristics
• Identify opportunities for design improvements, product optimization, and manufacturing efficiencies
• Assist with troubleshooting product performance issues and implementing corrective engineering solution

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Experience in mechanical design, product development, or applications engineering
• Proficiency with CAD software (Solid Works preferred)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

• Experience working with sealing technologies, engineered materials, or precision components
• Exposure to aerospace, semiconductor, life sciences, or industrial manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with GD&T and engineering documentation standards
• Experience supporting customer-facing technical applications or product development projects
