Senior Water/Wastewater Engineering Project Manager

Location: Orange, CA (On-site)

Salary Range: $160,000 – $180,000

Employment Type: Full‑Time, Direct Hire

You’ll lead complex wastewater and water infrastructure projects (approximately 75% wastewater), mentor project managers and junior engineers, and ensure technical quality across all deliverables. What You’ll Do
  • Leadership & Oversight:
    • Direct and mentor project managers and junior staff.
    • Provide technical oversight and stamp design drawings.
    • Occasionally engage in hands‑on design and project bidding.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage large‑scale wastewater and water infrastructure projects.
    • Ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Client Development:
    • Interface with public agencies and clients.
    • Develop new work and maintain existing relationships (book of business not required).
What We’re Looking For
  • Qualifications:
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
    • Bachelor’s degree from an ABET‑accredited civil or mechanical engineering program.
    • Extensive experience in process engineering and project management.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong background in wastewater infrastructure, sewer systems, and water/stormwater treatment design.
    • Ability to review and approve design packages;
      Civil 3D familiarity is a plus.
  • Attributes for Success:
    • Proven leadership and mentoring skills.
    • Ability to balance technical oversight with business development.
    • Comfortable with occasional site visits (mostly Southern California).
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
  • Experience with public agencies.
  • Broad technical background in water/wastewater/stormwater systems.
  • Familiarity with permitting and regulatory compliance.
