Due to continued growth in clinical volume, expansion of our multidisciplinary programs, and a deep institutional commitment to faculty well-being and sustainability, the Section of Pediatric Interventional Radiology at CHOC Children’s Hospital, now part of Rady Children’s Health - Orange County (RCHOC), is recruiting a full-time Pediatric Interventional Radiologist

Our team performs over 3,000 image-guided pediatric interventions annually
, with year-over-year growth exceeding 20%. We are the only dedicated pediatric IR program in Orange County and serve as a critical hub for patients across the region.
RCHOC is unique in that Interventional Radiology is an independent department

, not repurposed from other service lines. The department was developed specifically for pediatric IR and opened in 2025 with entirely new infrastructure and technology. This institutional design reflects RCHOC’s deep commitment to the long-term success and autonomy of the IR service line, enabling strategic growth, programmatic development, and physician well-being.

Pediatric anesthesiology is always available
, ensuring seamless coordination and safety for both routine and complex cases.

- Embedded reading rooms and back‑office support for integrated longitudinal care.
- Dedicated clinic space and staff provided in a new state-of-the-art on campus outpatient tower, ensuring a seamless patient and family experience from consultation to intervention and follow‑up.

RCHOC also supports a strong multidisciplinary Vascular Anomalies Center
, where IR plays a foundational role in collaboration with hematology, plastics, dermatology, ENT, and genetics.

Minimum Requirements- MD or DO degree (or equivalent)
- Board-certified or board‑eligible in Interventional Radiology
- Completion of a Pediatric Interventional Radiology fellowship preferred, but negotiable
- Demonstrated interest in teaching, innovation, and/or multidisciplinary care
