๐ Job Type: Full-Time | Non-exempt
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Estimator to prepare accurate and timely bids that support weekly production revenue goals. This role is responsible for interpreting plans and specifications, completing take-offs, applying production rates, securing vendor quotes, and supporting the overall estimating and bidding process.
โ Key Responsibilities- Prepare and submit bids for review
- Perform accurate take-offs and apply production rates
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and addenda
- Secure and review subcontractor/vendor quotes
- Conduct field visits for prime bids
- Support value engineering and pre-construction processes
- Review estimating input work for accuracy
- Maintain knowledge of vendors, materials, and related trades
- Utilize estimating software and Microsoft Office applications
- Associate degree preferred
- 3+ years of commercial construction, landscaping, irrigation, or related estimating experience
- Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Bilingual English/Spanish or Vietnamese is a plus
- Strong understanding of how estimating impacts revenue, profitability, and overall project success
- Results-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and production goals
- Highly organized and detail-driven, ensuring accurate and complete bids
- Sound decision-making skills with the ability to analyze information effectively
- Committed to delivering high-quality work and maintaining estimating standards
- Customer-focused with a professional and responsive approach
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Regular walking on uneven terrain and extended periods in a vehicle
- Pre-employment background check and drug screening required
- Must sign confidentiality and non-solicitation agreement
- Full-time role with a 3-month introductory period
