Administrative Specialist, Human Resources
Under minimal supervision, provides advanced clerical, secretarial, and administrative support to OCTA’s Human Resources team. This role handles confidential and complex HR-related work, supports departmental operations, and helps ensure timely, accurate, and professional service.
This is a non-exempt position in salary grade 160:
Min – $30.33 | Mid – $36.23 | Max – $42.12/hour. The starting salary will be within this range based on qualifications. This posting will remain open until filled.
- Prepare, proofread, and manage HR correspondence, reports, agreements, presentations, and e-forms
- Coordinate meetings, calendars, travel, confidential files, and departmental communications
- Support budget development, purchasing, contracts, and payment processing
- Assist with unemployment claims, HR policy updates, data tracking, and special projects
- Serve as a liaison between HR leadership, staff, and external stakeholders
- High integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Strong administrative, technical, and organizational skills
- Customer-focused and collaborative approach
- Minimum six (6) years of experience in Human Resources or a related administrative field (or equivalent education/experience)
