Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review tax work papers, including state apportionment calculations for partnership tax filings.
- Coordinate the tax preparation process with external parties and service providers.
- Prepare quarterly and annual tax projections to support planning and compliance.
- Process tax payments and prepare withholding allocations, including California PTET.
- Conduct tax research using tools such as CCH to support filings and decisions.
- Review investor and external JV K-1s and tax forms prepared by third-party firms.
- Assist with quarterly and annual REIT testing and related documentation.
- Update IRC Section 704 work papers and ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Track tax notices, gather relevant information, and draft response letters.
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field; MBT/MST is a plus.
- 3.5 + years of relevant tax experience, preferably in public accounting.
- Demonstrate experience with joint ventures, passthrough entities, or REITs.
- Exhibit strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Show proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Yardi and Adobe applications.
