PreOp​/PACU RN​/PRN

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pre Op/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a PRN basis in Orange Park, FL. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional nursing care to patients in the preoperative and post-anesthesia care units, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes throughout the surgical experience.

• Prepare patients for surgery by conducting preoperative assessments and verifying patient information.
• Perform all Pre Op CLIA testing and patient assessments
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition during the post-anesthesia recovery phase.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Provide patient and family education regarding preoperative and postoperative care instructions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and changes in condition.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients in both Pre Op and PACU settings.

• Current and valid RN license in the state of Florida.
• Previous experience in Pre Op and PACU nursing preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

This is a PRN (as needed) position with flexible scheduling based on department needs.
