Full time opening for a Nurse Practitioner needed for a growing mental health agency in our Orange Park, FL location.

Responsibilities- Diagnose, conduct assessments, and prescribe medications for patients with psychiatric‑mental health problems.
- Provide emergency psychiatric services and conduct physical and psychosocial examinations.
- Provide outpatient and residential care for patients showing changes or declines in mental status, chronic or urgent medical conditions.
- Work independently with other members of the medical team, obtaining clinical privileges from the Medical Executive Board.
- Participate in an interdisciplinary team that provides primary care to employees and patients.
- Take patient histories and physicals, assess risk factors, order therapeutic and diagnostic tests, and attend consultations and appointments.
- Prescribe medications following the clinic’s policy and State regulations.
- Consult with physicians on cases beyond PMHNP scope.
- Document all relevant patient data in medical records and case presentations.
- Develop and review health education delivered to patients and families for disease prevention.
- Ensure communication with other health professionals to deliver clinic services effectively.
- Provide consultation to the clinic’s nursing and medical staff to improve performance.
- Graduate professional nurse and nurse practitioner registration in a state, unrestricted, current, complete, and active.
- Obtain Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing followed by a master’s degree in Psychiatric or Mental Health Nursing from a state‑approved accredited school.
- Strong understanding of societal impacts on mental health; problem‑solving and patient monitoring skills.
- Compassionate, sensitive, and possess strong reasoning and thinking skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including word processing, data entry, and medical software applications.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken, to communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Experience working with children and patients requiring Suboxone.
- Experience treating various psychiatric diagnoses across all age groups.

Schedule:
8‑hour shift, Monday to Friday.
Work setting:
In‑person.
Base salary:
Up to $ per year plus quarterly bonus.
