Yearly Salary: $95,000 – $100,000
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain a thorough knowledge of current practices in the field and ensure that all programs practice the following principles: uphold individual rights and dignity; promote individual control; promote community membership; promote development of meaningful relations with others; promote personal growth and accomplishments; promote personal well‑being, health, and safety.
- Ensure that all individuals receive professional, individualized services based upon periodic assessment of needs, that all programs have written goals and objectives, and that a comprehensive program evaluation is conducted which measures progress toward goals, individual satisfaction with services, and changes in the population served.
- Provide positive, innovative, and effective leadership and motivation to your department to ensure that the organization is responsive and professional, and that it carries out our mission well.
- Design and maintain an effective organizational structure, which facilitates efficient implementation of delineated lines of authority, responsibility, and communication, and establish well‑defined, documented, and properly communicated staff roles to ensure that appropriate staffing levels and qualifications are met.
- Demonstrate a commitment to comprehensive staff training by implementing a variety of ongoing trainings for all levels of staff.
- Provide effective direct supervision and support to all assigned staff and ensure that your supervisory staff provide supervision and support to their subordinates; ensure that all staff are valued and treated fairly, with dignity and respect.
- Meet or exceed regulatory requirements, which may include ISP regulations, APD regulations, DPH, CARF standards, and Department of Labor Wage & Hour regulations.
- Develop, review, and revise operating policies and procedures on an ongoing basis.
- Participate in preparation of well‑written proposals and grants. Maintain knowledge of state contract procurement regulations.
- Maintain positive and effective relations with families, guardians, state agencies, and other entities that purchase our services.
- Participate in the creation of the annual budgets for the programs under your management control and monitor and control revenues/expenses.
- Continue to provide RBT‑related responsibilities and duties as needed for the Florida Division.
Specific Duties
- Ensure that all individuals’ health‑care needs are being met and that our medication administration regulations are consistently applied and complied with.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of and oversight of individuals’ financial resources, including government benefits, housing subsidies, and other resources that they may be entitled to.
- Ensure that all homes and day programs are kept safe, clean, and attractive, and that all safety plans, programs, and policies are communicated to staff and are implemented and practiced consistently.
- Work cohesively with the Clinical Department in the oversight of all Individualized Behavior Support Plans and the overall adherence to Positive Behavior Supports across all sites.
- Participate as an effective, respectful, and positive member of the Senior Management Team and contribute to joint efforts of the agency. Maintain an appreciation for the scope and responsibilities of fellow managers.
- Master’s Degree in a related field.
- Current BCBA certification (preferred).
- A minimum of five years full‑time Human Service employment, at least three of which involved supervisory experience.
- Must have experience working with adults with developmental disability diagnosis (required).
