Assistant Professor of Veterinary Medicine, College of Veterinary Medicine (Orange Park, FL)
Lincoln Memorial University’s College of Veterinary Medicine (LMU‑CVM) invites applications for a full‑time Assistant or Associate Professor of Veterinary Medicine (Course Coordinator) at our Orange Park, Florida campus.
This faculty ati‑role is ideal for a veterinarian with a passion縄 for curriculum integration, student learning, and academic collaboration who is interested in shaping veterinary education within a growing college of veterinary medicine. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating course delivery across pre‑clinical and clinical coursework while contributing to teaching, scholarly activity, and service.
Role Responsibilities & StructureFaculty appointed to this position are expected to contribute acrossisim teaching, research/scholarly activity, and service, consistent with university expectations and the mission of LMU‑CVM.
- Coordinating veterinary medicine course delivery, including development, integration, and assessment of pre‑clinical and clinical coursework
- Teaching within the veterinary medicine curriculum, with emphasis on integrated learning and outcomes‑based education
- Collaborating with faculty to ensure curricular alignment, continuity, and quality
- Participating in research or scholarly activity appropriate to academic rank and professional interests
- Engaging in service activities that support the College, University, profession, and broader community
- Academic rank at hire (Assistant or Associate Professor) will be determined based on qualifications and experience in accordance with university policies.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree
- Eligibility for licensure in the state of Florida
- Advanced degree, residency training, or specialty board certification in a relevant discipline
- Previous teaching experience in an academic setting
- Veterinary clinical experience
- Experience with course design, curriculum integration, or course coordination in a veterinary medicine program
- Demonstrated record of research, scholarly activity, or professional contributions
