Dietary Aide

Patient Dining Associate – Dietary Aide (Full Time and Part Time)

Job Summary:

Responsible for all input, distribution, and printing involving the Meal Tracker Menu System and serves as a direct liaison between the residents and the dietary department, and assure resident safety.

• Input select menus daily
• Print tray tickets, production sheets, and nourishment labels daily
• Print daily select menus for rehab unit and personally distribute to the residents
• Distribute dietary satisfaction surveys to new admissions on day 3 of their stay
• Print weekly select menus for LTC and Memory Care units andส์
• Check boxes on units daily
• Input Dietary Communication slips and any changes into computer program
• Assist residents in filling out their menus as needed
• Attendlyg all facility and dietary mandatory in‑services
• Assure resident safety at all times

• Must pass Level 2 background screening through the Florida Clearinghouse (Learn more: )
• Must be able to sit and work at a computer for long periods
• Must be willing and able to work beyond normal working hours, on weekends, and in other positions temporarily when necessary, for example as Dietary Aide
• Must follow department dress code and wear a clean uniform, clean shoes, a hairnet or cap inside the kitchen and disposable gloves when handling food
• Must wear a name tag at all times when on John Knox Village property
• Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
• Must be free from all communicable diseases, in good general health, and demonstrate emotional stability
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to sit, stand, lift (up to 50 lbs.), bend, squat, and move intermittently during working hours
• Must have basic computer skills

Physical requirements may include frequent use of hands and arms, lifting, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and smelling; visual requirements may require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
