Job description

Gastro MD is a well-established, single specialty Gastroenterology practice in the Greater Area of Orlando, FL. Our practice has several office locations and in total has a total of 8 physicians and 9 physician extenders. We are currently seeking a full time PA in the Greater Orlando, FL market. Through a high standard of care, our team of providers have established a large referral base, providing a fantastic opportunity for a PA with excellent clinical skills and a strong work ethic seeking opportunities with busy practice.

With four locations throughout the market, our established and growing platform offers many benefits including state of the art equipment and facilities, several surgery centers with ownership opportunities, as well as in-house pathology and other ancillary services proving an optimal clinical environment for patients and providers alike.

Multiple positions available at our Lake Mary and Orange City locations.

Duties:
Diagnose health conditions and illnesses

  • Examine patients and their medical records
  • Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
  • Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
  • Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases
  • Prescribe medications
  • Maintain accurate records and schedules
  • Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and prevention
  • Advance professional knowledge and conduct research

Requirements:

  • Valid Physician Assistant license in Florida
  • Master's degree
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
