Assistant Manager

Overview

Avenue Pub Orange Beach is looking for a motivated Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our leadership team. This role works closely with the Management Team to oversee daily restaurant operations, support staff development, and ensure every guest has a great experience. We are seeking someone who is organized, hands-on, and passionate about leading a team in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

• Support the General Manager with training, scheduling, and employee development
• Supervise and organize shifts, ensuring smooth daily operations
• Provide regular feedback to employees, appraise performance, and hold staff accountable
• Delegate tasks effectively and follow up to ensure completion
• Maintain clear communication with both staff and management
• Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction
• Oversee both FOH and BOH operations, coordinating between departments
• Uphold health, safety, and cleanliness standards at all times
• Arrange equipment maintenance and repairs when necessary
• Attend weekly manager meetings and provide input for improvement
• Set a professional example inside and outside of the workplace
• Cultivate a positive, team-focused environment for employees

• Previous restaurant industry experience required (management preferred)
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask, delegate, and prioritize effectively
• Knowledge of both front-of-house and back-of-house operations
• Willingness to take initiative and lead by example
