Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Stepdown Unit night shift position in a Level 2 trauma acute care setting, requiring an AL or compact license.
Responsibilities- Position based in an acute care hospital environment
- Work on the ICU/Neuro Stepdown Unit (NSU)
- Level 2 trauma center serving neurological and stepdown patients
- Patient ratio is 1:3
- 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36/48 hour rotation over a two-week period
- Uses Cerner EMR system
- Provide nursing care to neuro and stepdown patients in an acute setting
- Assignment length is 13 weeks
- 16 hours of orientation provided
- First time travelers may be considered
- Active AL or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience in stepdown or neuro ICU preferred
